What is CrafterBy?

CrafterBy is a cost-management platform for artisans and small manufacturers. You record what your materials, machines and labour really cost, combine them into products, and CrafterBy calculates your true unit cost, your margin and the price you should charge.

The problem it solves

Most small makers price by instinct: material cost plus 'a bit for my time'. That quietly ignores machine depreciation, electricity, offcuts, failed prints, rent and the hours spent on setup. The result is a product that feels profitable and isn't.

A worked example. A 3D-printed lamp uses €4.10 of filament. Priced at €15 it looks like a 73% margin. Once CrafterBy adds 8 hours of printer time (depreciation + electricity + a share of maintenance), 25 minutes of your labour, 12% filament wastage from failed first layers and your workshop overhead, the true cost is €11.40 — a 24% margin, not 73%.
