Settings → Taxes — manage tax rules used when pricing products.
Creating a rule
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal name for the rule. |
| Label | How the tax appears on invoices — VAT, IVA, Sales Tax. |
| Rate | The percentage charged. |
| Mode | Whether tax is added on top of the price or already included in it. |
The default rule
Set Default marks one rule as the default. It is applied automatically to new orders and to products where you tick Include tax.
Mode matters for your margins. On inclusive pricing, the price already contains the tax, so margin is calculated on the net amount — the same headline price yields a smaller margin than it would if tax were added on top.
